Train as a Counsellor
Become a Counsellor
Relate has around 2,000 counsellors nationally, all of whom receive regular supervision and support throughout their training and practice. Training is provided by the Relate Institute in collaboration with the University of Hull. Relate Cambridge recruits trainee counsellors once or twice a year and prospective counsellors can attend information sessions where further details about training placements and courses are available. For more information please ring 01223 357424.
Further information on counsellor training can be found on the Relate Institute website www.relateinstitute.ac.uk.
Volunteering with Relate Cambridge
Become a volunteer or a Friend
As a charity, Relate is always pleased to receive offers of support by way of voluntary work to support the administration of the Centre. Friends of Relate help to raise awareness and organise social and fund raising events in support of the Centre. As a charity, Relate Cambridge is overseen by a board of director trustees and is always open to widening the skills of its governing body.
If you would like to be a volunteer or a Friend, please contact Claire Nunes, Centre Director for further information on 01223 357424.
Become a Trustee
Relate Cambridge, part of the UK's biggest provider of relationship counselling, is looking to recruit two or three Trustees. We are looking for individuals who can help the Board through their business or professional experience, their understanding of counselling interventions or of mental health provision, or their wider practical understanding of the trends in relationships and society. If you are interested, please e-mail admin@relatecambridge.org.uk or call the Relate office on 01223 357424.
